Although Lebron James is set to take a six-month break away from the NBA while filming ‘Space Jam 2’, he doesn’t plan on slacking off during the offseason. According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, LeBron is having a full-length basketball court built on the movie’s set.
It’s imaginable for LeBron to feel uncomfortable with the brand new experience of the lead actor in a feature film, but he said he’s more motivated by the circumstances. “I like being uncomfortable in the offseason,” James said. “I like being counted out. It motivates me.”
With an additional two months of possible training, James said, “I’ve had basically the same offseason training regimen the last eight years. I knew how long I wanted to rest for the season on a short timeline. I’m figuring out now how to get as much as I can out of two months of extra time for training. It requires a totally different strategy. We’re looking at it in an entirely new way.”
So fans should be expecting a great ‘Space Jam’ sequel in 2021 as well as a great season when LeBron returns to the hard top.
