Lee Daniels Reveals He’s “Fighting” For ‘Star’ After Its Cancellation; Series Could Find New Home

Just weeks after Fox announced the recent cancellation of “Star,” starring Ryan Destiny, Queen Latifah, Brandy Norwood, Quincy Brown, the show’s co-creator, Lee Daniels, has restored hope for the future of the series.

Late Tuesday night, Daniels took to Instagram to share his plans for the series following its cancellation after three seasons.

“Fighting guys!” Daniels wrote with a clip of the show, adding, “Will know this week…or top of next. I’m NOT letting them STOP the CULTURE…SORRY!”

According to Deadline, the show had been shopped to a slew of networks, including BET and OWN, in hopes of finding a new home, and apparently, there may be a “potential new suitor.”

But, as of right now, further details remain unclear.

Will you follow ‘Star’ to a new network?
