The long awaited third installment in the Legally Blonde franchise will finally make its way to theaters- in May of 2022.
According to The New York Daily News, the cast spilled the beans on Tuesday during a virtual cast reunion, two decades after the original film hit theaters.
Legally Blonde 3 which will be written by Mindy Kaling and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” co-creator Dan Goor, will sashay its way to fans in 2022, the cast announced.
Reese Witherspoon will return as everyone’s favorite Harvard Law student Elle Woods. During the reunion, Witherspoon revealed that the 2001 romantic comedy is a fan favorite that “comes up more than any other” film she’s made.
The virtual reunion, was held to benefit not-for-profit organization World Central Kitchen, included Luke Wilson, Jennifer Coolidge and Selma Blair, and saw the cast reprise Elle’s signature flirty bend and snap and the actors reflected on iconic costumes and scenes.
