Kansas City’s Chiefs running back LeSean McCoy has reached a private settlement with his ex-girlfriend Delicia Cordon over 2018 home invasion, according to court records filed Thursday.
The civil suit stems from a July 10, 2018 home invasion at McCoy’s Milton home, in which Cordon was injured, AJC reports. In Cordon’s lawsuit, she claimed that McCoy was responsible for any injuries she received during the invasion, which included injuries to her head, face, and arms. She argued that McCoy was at fault because he changed the home security system without letting her know.
At the time of the invasion, McCoy was out of town.
Police said that during the 2018 home invasion, a single male suspect “specifically targeted the home” on Hickory Pass and came in about 3 a.m. July 10. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
Cordon told the 911 dispatcher that the suspect hit her in the face with a gun, took her jewelry and cash, and locked her into the bathroom before he left. However, in regards to the settlement, further details have yet to be released.
