Actor Leslie Jordan‘s cause of death has been revealed.
The Los Angeles coroner’s office confirmed Thursday that the Call Me Kat, 67, star died of sudden cardiac dysfunction.
Arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, also known as atherosclerosis, was listed as a secondary factor.
Medical experts say atherosclerosis is the thickening or hardening of the arteries caused by a buildup of plaque. Sudden cardiac dysfunction occurs when there is a malfunction in the electrical system of the heart, causing the organ to beat dangerously fast.
Jordan, who became a social media sensation during the height of the pandemic, died on Oct. 24 after suffering a medical emergency while driving and crashed into the side of a building in Hollywood. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the fatal accident, it was reported that the beloved comedian had been complaining of shortness of breath in the days leading up to his death.
