Dan Lin revealed a Lethal Weapon sequel is currently being planned during a roundtable with the Hollywood Reporter.
Lin, producer of the “Lethal Weapon” TV series, knocked on wood “so I don’t jinx myself.”
“We’re trying to make the last ‘Lethal Weapon’ movie,” Lin said during the roundtable. “And director Donner’s coming back. The original cast is coming back.”
According to Lin, he’s been trying to make this happen for a few years now and now Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are ready to go.
“I wasn’t apart of the other four.. As a fan, I want to help make it happen,” Lin said.
Writer Jez Butterworth is currently working on the script.
The last film was released in 1998.
