“Lets Get It On”: Adrien Broner challenges Floyd Mayweather Jr. to a fight – blogged by @MsJennyb
And the feud continues. Four weight world champion, Adrien Broner has challenged retired boxing superstar, Floyd Mayweather Jr., WWE style.
The two, who were previously very close, have been in a back and forth battle as of late. Things heated up when Broner interchanged Mayweather Promotions with “Hateweather Promotions” and declared to knock out Theophane. Mayweather retaliated claiming Broner’s initials stood for “Always Broke” and suggesting the nickname “The Problem” be changed to “Snake.”
After dominating Ashley Theophane of Mayweather Promotions in a ninth round TKO on Friday night, Broner, had some words for his former mentor.
“I wasn’t gonna do this but I’m a man that learns sh*t from physical activity. Me and Floyd, he got to see me. Point blank, period” Broner explains as Mayweather laughs and applauds at ringside. “I’m a man at the end of the day. I come from the streets, the trenches, man, from the bottom, from nothing. I’m talking about water and corn flakes, I come from nothing, and I will never let a man disrespect me like that. So he gotta see me. I don’t care if we spar or we fighting. Lets get it on.”
Spike announcer Scott Hanson asked Mayweather for his reaction to Broner’s comments and he said, “I don’t play kid games with Adrien Broner.”
As far as a Mayweather-Broner fight goes, seems like Mayweather is not interested. What do you think about Broner’s challenge?
