You would think that in 2017, the slave mentality of some people wouldn’t be present. Well, guess what? It’s here and it’s up to us to stand up for our rights. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We can protest as much as we like but there are some people in this society that don’t give a damn how blacks feel. Everyday we are constantly reminded that our opinions don’t have any type of substance and we are tired. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There are so many black people that are in higher positions that have a platform to stand up for us as a whole but refuse to do so. I’m sick and tired of hearing, “I don’t want to lose my sponsors” or “This is my job and I have to do what I’m told.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is pure BS! That’s slave mentality. You like being mistreated by “the people” at the top. Our ancestors did not care whether they had a job to fulfill or not. They spoke up every chance they got and we must do the same. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We cannot let this celebrity in chief continue to degrade us and treating this country as a damn dictatorship. This country is supposed to be moving forward but we keep getting knocked backwards. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have a platform speak up. Your children, significant others, and family are looking up to you for guidance and support. Don’t let them down by being silent. Speak the hell up! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Don’t let us continue to be degraded on a daily basis because of the color of our skin. Our ancestors fought for our freedom and we must continue to keep the legacy and hope alive. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We are counting on you, so do what’s right. Stop thinking with your wallet and start thinking about how your boss only sees you as “his slave.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
