Let’s Talk: How Do You Know If Your Day 1 Is An Undercover Hater?

Have you ever been in a situation where it got real awkward between you and one of your day 1’s… whether it was a feeling you got from something they said, or something you heard? Something just didn’t sit right.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you ever had to raise your eyebrow at something your day 1 has ever said or done, and you had to question their motives… you guessed it… They’re an undercover hater.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When a joke turns into a sneak diss:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your day 1 stays with the jokes, so you’re not really surprised when they hit you with a few; but why does it always seem like they couldn’t wait to say something! Chances are they feel some type of way, been felt some type of way, and they’re an undercover hater.

When “advice” turns to lowkey judgement:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your day 1 always seems to have advice for you. They say they’re just “being a friend,” and some of their advice seems like a sneak diss in itself. They start to make little assumptions about you and slip in little slick comments throughout conversations. Chances are they feel like they’re better than you and that you’re not on their level. And If so… they’re an undercover hater.

They Love To Talk About You:

There’s probably only a few people in your life that you can trust with all your business… a parent, a sibling, or your day 1 right? You don’t expect any of your personal business to leave their lips, but somehow it does and you find out about it. Do you lose a little bit of trust for them? Or just don’t give them as much tea anymore? Regardless, they don’t respect you enough to not talk about you behind your back. What else do they say when you’re not around? Chances are they have alternative motives, and they’re an undercover hater.

Unfortunately, the list goes on!

They may try to talk to one of your exes on the low; always try to argue with you about something petty; or try to be in competition with you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At the end of the day if your day 1 falls into any of these categories, that probably shouldn’t be you’re “day 1,” so stay on your p’s and q’s… he or she is a undercover hater.
