Let’s Talk: To Pop Up or To Not Pop Up? The Pros and Cons Of Popping Up On Your Significant Other

How many of us have had to pop-up on our significant other to catch them in the act of cheating, or being up to no good. Some may feel the need to do so to get the truth out of their significant other, while others may do it as a small reminder.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Popping up on your significant other has its pros and cons that could possibly hurt you or make you feel stupid as hell. We decided to lay out some of the pros and cons to the infamous “Pop-up.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’re gonna start with the Cons because well… things might get ugly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Embarrassment- Say you plot to catch your significant other in action, and… there’s no action. At that point, you’ve embarrassed yourself, and God forbid anyone’s around. Your significant other will then be embarrassed as well.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Trust is broken- Once again, this happens IF you don’t catch them doing anything. Pulling up and acting a fool causes your significant other to look at you in a completely different light. Their trust in you is questioned, and clearly, you don’t trust them either… why are y’all together again?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Someone can get hurt- Literally. Though this may not be the goal, someone can get seriously injured. Depending on the setting of the pop-up, the police may get involved as well. Congratulations! You have a case! Also, you may not be mentally prepared for what you’ll find, and end up with your feelings hurt.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The side piece can win- Imagine that… you pop up, see exactly what you thought was going on, and get dissed for the side piece. Yikes!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You look stupid- Regardless if you find anything or not, you’re bound to look crazy. Your blood pressure is raised, and you’re taken out your element. No one should be allowed to do that to you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now for the Pros…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Clarity- Honestly, this may be the only positive thing that comes from the visit. If a pop-up occurs and is successful, you now have the answers you’ve been searching for.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What you find will truly determine the end results.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Questions you should possibly ask yourself before popping up:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1.   Are you being crazy? Do you really think they’re up to no good?
2.   Where is this going to take place?
3.   How crazy are they? Will you get slapped up in return?
4.   How far are you willing to take this?
5.   (Major Key) Is it worth it?
