New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell was the victim of a heist last month, and it was reportedly pulled off by some pretty close acquaintances. $520,000 worth of his custom jewelry was stolen from his home, and according to the official police report, his two girlfriends are the culprits.
Bell told police he returned to his Hollywood, FL home from the gym to find his closet ransacked. He noticed that the women were gone and that some of his jewelry was missing from his jewelry case, which included two diamond gold chains, a black and white black panther pendant, and a Rolex watch.
According to CBS Sports, the robbery came almost three months after Bell signed a four-year, $52.5 million deal with the Jets that included $35 million in guaranteed money. Despite the alleged theft, Bell still showed up in New York this week for his first round of mandatory minicamp with the Jets.
Police say the investigation into the alleged robbery is ongoing, but there has yet to be an update on the identities of the women.
