You can refer to British race car driver Lewis Hamilton as Sir now.
The 7-time Formula One champion received his Knighthood from Prince Charles Wednesday at Windsor Castle.
Knighthood is presented to individuals by the royal family for high achievement and service to their country within their respective industries.
According to The Guardian, Hamilton was joined by his mother during the prestigious naming event.
This honor comes three days after Hamilton came in second place to Max Verstappen in the Formula One world championship.
The champion was on his way to securing his eighth title this past Sunday when he had a good lead on rival Verstappen. However, a safety car deployed, allowing his opponent to catch up to him and pass him.
Though the Mercedes driver believed the incident was “manipulated,” he still congratulated Verstappen after he won.
Hamilton is the first and only Black driver in the 70-year history of Formula One. The 36-year old is the fourth grand Prix driver to be awarded knighthood and the only one awarded the honor while still competing.
