LiAngelo Ball has officially filed for divorce from Rashida Nicole just half a year after their relationship made headlines, and only days after she announced she was expecting his child.
The timing immediately sparked a wave of opinions across social media, but Ball made it clear that the noise doesn’t affect him.
During a chat with Billboard, the athlete and aspiring rapper addressed the backlash and brushed it off.
“When people conversate about my personal life, it don’t touch me or bother me too much,” he said. “Like I see it, of course, because you know, everybody got a phone, but it don’t rub me the wrong way or nothing because nobody really go [through] what I go through every day. You not me, for real. So it don’t mean sh*t, for real.”
He made it clear that the only opinions he pays attention to are those from the people around him.
“I don’t even know half the people saying anything,” he continued. “And everybody I know rock with me. Sh*t, there it is. I be feeling good when I step out. Got love.”
Earlier this year, Miss Nikki Baby, the mother of his first two children, accused Ball of leaving her for Rashida. That drama had already placed their relationship under heavy public scrutiny long before the divorce news hit.
Now, with the split made official and Rashida expecting, many are questioning how it all fell apart so fast.
Rashida has yet to make a public statement, and Ball seems unbothered by the speculation.
