As After questionable biopics featuring Aaliyah, Britney Spears and the cast of Saved by the Bell, Lifetime network has announced that they will be tackling the story of Michael Jackson.
The network announced that “Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland” (working title), based on the best-selling book “Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days,” will begin filming in Los Angeles next month.
According to Lifetime, the film will focus on Michael Jackson’s last days through the eyes of his bodyguards, Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard.  Chad L. Coleman (The Walking Dead) has been cast as Whitfield while Michael Jackson tribute artist, Navi,  will make his acting debut as the King of Pop.
This news comes on the heels of Sky Arts axing their travesty of a Michael Jackson depiction featuring Joseph Fiennes. As far as Michael’s family, Paris Jackson says she will reserve judgement until she sees how they portray her father.
Do you want to see Lifetime take on Michael Jackson or do we have enough biopics on him?
