Lifetime network is back on the biopic train and this time they’ve got their focus on former Ruthless Records singer, Michel’le.
If the name sounds familiar, besides her songs “No More Lies” and “Something In My Heart,” Michel’le made headlines when she accused Dr. Dre of physically abusing her while they were in their decade-long relationship. Later, she went on to marry Death Row’s Suge Knight. They divorced six years later. Michel’le also starred on R&B Divas LA.
In the forthcoming biopic, The Michel’le Story, it was announced that R. Marcos Taylor, who starred as Suge Knight in Straight Outta Compton, will reprise his role in the Lifetime film. Lincoln Heights’ Rhyon Nicole Brown is taking on the star role as Michel’le while Curtis Hamilton will portray Dr. Dre.
Michel’le was there for NWA, there for Death Row and has quite the story to tell. Will it be worth watching?
