Lil Baby Denies Dissing Gunna in “Rat” Lyrics on New Album

Lil Baby is clearing the air about lyrics on his WHAM deluxe track, “Runnin’ This Shit,” after fans speculated they were aimed at Gunna.

In an interview with Complex, Baby denied taking shots at his former collaborator, despite what many listeners believe.

The drama stems from a line where Baby raps: “I don’t care what he did, he a rat still / And I said what I said, don’t at me.”

Given the ongoing snitching allegations against Gunna since he pleaded out of the YSL RICO case in late 2022, fans were quick to assume the bar was directed at him.

When asked about the rumored diss, Baby set the record straight:

“That’s just how I rap,” he said. “I hate that they try to make narratives out of shit I say. I say what I want to say. If I was speaking on certain people and shit, I would say that.”

He also made it clear he doesn’t shy away from speaking his mind in his music, but insists the lyrics weren’t targeting anyone specific.
