Lil Baby has finally put an end to the rumors regarding a feud between him and his labelmates, Migos.
The QC star was recently accused of firing shots at the trio-turned-duo on his track “Stand On It,” which is a standout record from his new album, It’s Only Me. Fans thought Baby was especially taking shots when he rapped, “I don’t want your bitch, we can’t swap out (Swap out)/They ain’t on shit, tell ’em to pop out (Pop out).” Many believed this was a direct stab at Quavo and Saweetie after the latter had been accused of dating Baby briefly after Quavo. However, in an interview with Posted on the Corner, the “My Dawg’ rapper assured the hosts and viewers that was not the case.
“I be wanting to comment on that type of stuff, but I just feel like when I comment on something, it just make it bigger,” he shared, revealing that he isn’t too privy to internet chatter but sees the rumors when they are sent to him by those close to him.
If you recall, shortly after Quavo and Saweetie parted ways, it was rumored that Lil Baby took the “Icy” rapper on a $100,000 shopping spree. Saweetie did not exactly deny the rumors either, leading many to believe their validity and even pointed to it being the reason behind her split from the Migos star.
Quavo was also believed to have addressed the viral shopping spree on his and Takeoff’s new project, Only Built for Infinity Links. On the DJ Durel-produced track “Messy,” he rapped, “B***h f****d my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’ (Not at all)/You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it.”
Nevertheless, Baby is adamant that the men have no bad blood.
“They know I ain’t got nothing going on with them,” he reiterated.
It looks like things in the QC neighborhood are all good.
