Lil Dicky’s Series ‘Dave’ Gets Picked Up For Season 2 on FXX

Lil Dicky just scored another win in his career as his hit FXX series Dave has just been renewed for season two.

Dave is a comedy based on the life of Dave Burd (Lil Dicky), who is a comedian and a rapper.

“Co-creators Dave Burd and Jeff Schaffer, along with their entire creative team, have delivered one of television’s best comedies series while becoming FX’s most-watched comedy ever. That is an extraordinary achievement for Dave, the cast and crew as they teamed to make a memorable and brilliant season of television,” Nick Grad, FX originals president said in a statement.

The half-hour series is set to return for its second run, next year.

For fans who haven’t finished the first season, they can catch up on Hulu, where the entire first season is available for streaming.

“We set out to make something special, and it’s so gratifying to see the response this show has gotten,” Lil Dicky said. “This was my first rodeo, so I’m super excited to take another crack at it now that I’ve got some experience making television. It really feels like the sky is the limit with this show. I look forward to raising the bar even higher next year.”

Famous guest stars on the show have included Young Thug, Justin Bieber, Trippie Redd, and Kourtney Kardashian.

The show, executive produced by Kevin Hart, follows Dave, a young man in his 20’s aiming to be one of the best rappers of all time stars GaTa, Taylor Misiak, Travis Bennett, Christine Ko, and Andrew Santino.
