On Tuesday, it was announced that 24 shows of rapper Lil Durk’s upcoming Sorry for the Drought tour were canceled or postponed.
Stops in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Phoenix, New York, Denver, Toronto, and others have been affected, leaving the Chicago native with just five dates left.
Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, and DD Osama were scheduled to appear alongside Durk, but it hasn’t been determined if they will still join him on the remaining stops. According to a statement released by DJ Akademiks, the rapper has also pulled out of his headlining Rolling Loud performance due to his health.
“Since I’m still awaiting to get full clearance from my doctors to travel and perform again, I have no other choice but to cancel my headlining Rolling Loud performance,” the statement read. “While I’m home resting, I am looking forward to my two homecoming shows on the 11th and 12th in Chicago. For the rest of the country, I’ll be announcing new dates soon. #StillHealing.”
Lil Durk was recently released from the hospital after being admitted for a week for severe exhaustion and dehydration.
“My fans mean everything to me, you’re the reason why I do this,” the rapper told TMZ. “I was looking forward to touching all of my European fans, performing this week(end), attending the ESPYs, and more, but after performing and traveling daily, I’ve become severely dehydrated and advised by my doctors not to travel due to exhaustion. Once I get my full energy back, it’s back to business which I’m looking forward to. #StillHealing.”
As for now, he will perform in Tampa, Florida; Noblesville, Indiana; Houston, Texas; and twice in Chicago, Illinois, with two separate shows on August 11th and 12th.
