Lil Duval Releases A 2020 Remake of Classic “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”

Comedian Lil’ Duval has just given us a new twist on the classic Bobby McFerrin song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” for 2020, featuring T.I.

The “Living My Best Life” singer starts the song with a shout out to McFerrin and advises listeners that even though “2020 has had its trouble, when you worry you make it double.”

The video features appearances by Snoop Dogg and Bertrand E. Boyd (Queen & Slim) while T.I. raps, “You should appreciate life, it could be over tonight. Ain’t nothing going the way that you want it to go, but it’s gone’ be alright.”

Duval’s remake includes references to the current state of the world and a shout out to Black Lives Matter amid murals of the late US Representative John Lewis.

The comedian keeps the song light-hearted but also makes sure to include important messages singing, “Stuck inside nowhere to go, we might be locked down but still- go vote.”
