The internet has been in an uproar since Charlie Sheen announced that he is in fact HIV positive. The former Two And A Half Men star revealed the news during a recent interview on the Today Show. Shortly after the news broke, many celebrities took to social media to show their support, including: Lady Gaga, Heather Locklear, Piers Morgan, and now Lil Eazy-E.
Lil Eazy-E, the son of the iconic N.W.A. member, Eazy-E, shared his thoughts on the situation to TMZ. After losing his father to AIDS in 1995, Lil Eazy felt it was only right to speak on another similar case of the terrible disease. Lil Eazy says that unlike his father, Charlie is lucky because he will have a full life expectancy due to the medical advancements in the world today, which they didn’t have back when his father passed away.
Although Lil Eazy thinks that his father and Charlie’s case have similarities, he also says there are some differences. “The biggest difference is Charlie will actually be there to see his kids grow up.” he says. With the amount of fame Sheen has, Lil Eazy also expressed that he believes Sheen can bring major HIV/AIDS awareness to bigger audiences.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is extremely important to go get tested. You could save your life, and save others life in the process. Do not underestimate the spread of this disease. It is everywhere. It happened to Eazy-E, it happened to Charlie Sheen, it can happen to you. Be aware!
