Lil Kim’s Ex Found Guilty of Ordering Six Murders

Lil Kim’s ex boyfriend, Damion “World” Hardy, has been found guilty of order the murder of six people. Hardy and his late brother were the leaders of the drug gang Cash Money Brothers which reportedly terrorized Brooklyn for over a decade, causing almost daily gun battles in the streets of Bed-Stuy. Outside of Brooklyn Hardy is known for dating Lil Kim and also for a public feud he had with Mike Tyson over the death of his friend/bodyguard. Plot Twist: Damion Hardy was also schizophrenic and because of his mental illness his lawyers argued that he wasn’t fit to take the stand, stalling his court case for 10 years.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Soumya Dayananda told the jury that for more than a decade Hardy created a ‘world of violence’ around the Lafayette Gardens housing project

His lethal orders were carried out by Cash Money Brothers hitman Aaron (E-Bay) Granton, who rose through the ranks of the violent 1990s gang. Granton was also found guilty of carrying out killings when he was part of the gang.

Hardy, 40, was arrested in 2004 but the case had dragged on for almost 10 years because lawyers had argued his schizophrenia meant he was not fit for trial.

But Judge Frederic Block ruled he was sane enough to face trial and he was forcibly medicated in the courtroom, following a successful bid by prosecutors.

During the ten year delay some of Hardy’s henchmen had come forward, pleading guilty and giving evidence against their former drugs boss, ultimately leading to his conviction.
