Lil Tay wasted no time stepping into adulthood. The viral teen influencer and rapper, whose real name is Claire Tian, turned 18 on July 29th and says she made over $1 million within hours of launching her OnlyFans account.
Tay claimed her content was created at “12:01 a.m.” on her birthday, the minute she became legal. Days later, she shared a screenshot with her 5.8 million Instagram followers showing what she says were earnings from the adult content site just three hours after going live.
“We broke the f— out of that onlyfans record,” she wrote.
According to her post, about half of her reported million-dollar haul came from subscribers alone.
Lil Tay first made waves online as a 9-year-old with explosive videos flaunting cash, luxury cars, and designer labels. In 2018, she went viral as a child rapper and provocateur, often yelling expletives and collaborating with internet names like Bhad Bhabie and Jake Paul.
By late 2018, she had vanished from the spotlight, and in August 2023, a shocking statement posted to her Instagram claimed she and her brother Jason Tian had died. “We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain,” the message read.
But the post was quickly deleted. Authorities had no record of her death, and her return was confirmed a month later with a music video drop for “Sucker 4 Green.”
