Lil’ Wayne is now on his fourth missed show while on his current tour run, with the most recent being his Blink-182 Tour cancelation after issues at the hotel where he was staying. But this time, Wayne’s no-Show came as a surprise to more than the fans because the rapper’s DJ was on stage and even started playing Wayne soundbites to introduce him.
His scheduled performance was for the seventh iteration of the annual Life Is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas. One festival attendee posted on Reddit, “There was a sound clip of 3 gunshots a “’Young Mula baby’” and then nothing for 10 minutes.”
Finally, the venue announced Wayne would not be performing with an announcement that read, “Unfortunately, Lil Wayne will not be able to perform tonight. Sorry for any inconvenience”. Wayne has yet to comment on why his show was canceled.
Fans immediately took to social media, some in anger and some with concern. One person posted to Twitter, “Lil Wayne f**king no-showed Life is Beautiful, and we didn’t even find out till 20 minutes after his set was supposed to start.” Another Twitter user wrote, “I’m personally gonna fight Lil Wayne for canceling life is beautiful.. he should do a private performance at your house to make up for it.”
Another user tweeted, “I hope Lil Wayne is okay. He has been pulling out of a lot of show dates, and he just canceled on us at Life is Beautiful in Las Vegas.” And another Twitter user wrote, “#liltunechi, send us a message if you’re ok.”
Obviously, that is everyone’s biggest concern aside from concert ticket sales. Wayne’s show at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio has been canceled as well. We pray all is well with Lil’ Wayne and he’ll be back on the road again soon.
