Late Monday night, TIDAL posted a video of Lil Wayne receiving the key to the city of Lafayette, Louisiana. Moments before taking the stage at the Cajun Dome, Mayor-President Joel Robideaux gifted Hollygrove’s own with a key that was Young Money approved.
The key hangs on a gold-chain, claiming to be the only key in America fashioned in that way. Robideaux took the time to honor the New Orleans MC’s philanthropic work before he took the stage to perform in honor of the Ice Cold Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha winning TIDAL’s Social Wave of Change challenge. Over 50 schools participated, however the Zeta Xi chapter of A Phi A at the University of Lafayette won TIDAL’s contest by donating over 7,000 bottles of water to Flint, Michigan.
