Lil Wayne may not have been selected as the headliner for next year’s Super Bowl, but the Grammy-winning artist will be working with the NFL in another major way.
Starting Sunday, November 17, Wayne will join NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Morning as a weekly guest. The rapper and devoted sports enthusiast will be sharing his takes alongside Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner, Steve Mariucci, and Gerald McCoy for the remainder of the 2024 NFL season.
The announcement of Wayne’s addition was made during the halftime show of the New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers game in Munich. A diehard Green Bay Packers supporter, Lil Wayne has made a name for himself in sports commentary, frequently appearing on Fox Sports 1’s Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless, where he also contributed the theme song “Good Morning.”
NFL GameDay Morning airs Sundays at 9 a.m. ET on NFL Network and features analysts such as Ian Rapoport, Cynthia Frelund, Colleen Wolfe, Mike Garafolo, Tom Pelissero, Daniel Jeremiah, and Kyle Brandt. The show also includes contributions from NFL correspondents Judy Battista, Bridget Condon, Stacey Dales, Omar Ruiz, Jane Slater, Sara Walsh, Cameron Wolfe, and Steve Wyche.
It seems like the league is trying to make good with the superstar following his outspoken criticism of not being selected to headline the 2025 Super Bowl in his hometown of New Orleans.
