Lil Wayne Opens Up About Super Bowl Snub: ‘It Broke Me, But Y’all Helped Me Put Myself Back Together’

The rap legend, who has always repped his New Orleans roots, shared his deep disappointment and how he had to navigate through the feelings of hurt after what he called a personal letdown.

“I must say thank you,” Lil Wayne began, acknowledging the immense support from his fans, peers, and loved ones. “I have to thank every voice, every opinion, all the care, the love, and the support out there. Your words turned into arms that held me up when I felt like falling back.”
