Well, it looks like Lil Wayne owes some money–and this time it’s to his lawyers. According to TMZ, rapper Lil Wayne is being sued by his own lawyers due to unpaid lawyer fees.
After hiring Attorney Michael Kramer for his Cash Money and Birdman lawsuit, Wayne apparently didn’t hold up his end of the bargain. Kramer sued the rapper for his alleged nonpayment in Manhattan federal court on Monday. The law firm claims that they’ve sent numerous bills to Wayne for nearly a year and have received no communication from the rapper. If true, Wayne’s failure to abide by the lawyers’ request will land him $375,000 in debt. The Cash Money case is still pending and due to his debt, Kramer has stopped representing the rapper.
This isn’t the first time a law firm has come after Lil Wayne for unpaid fees. Back in October, Wayne’s attorneys at Garbett, Allen & Roza sued the rapper for $80k after working his case against a private jet company. What makes matters worse is that Lil Wayne lost the case and owes the private jet company $2million.
Lawsuits can get pretty ugly, very fast. We do hope the situation goes over well!
