Lil Wayne’s cannabis brand GKUA announced Wednesday that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with the Los Angeles Coliseum to host 4/20 parties for “years to come.”

4/20 is the name commonly used for the cannabis-oriented celebration that occurs annually on April 20.

“GKUA is about feeling inspired,” the rapper said in a news release. “I’m looking forward to sharing that GKUA inspiration from the L.A. Coliseum. It is time to celebrate with friends.”

The first event under the agreement will take place on August 13 and feature a VIP party along with performances by Wayne, his Young Money collective, and other special guests. According to Forbes, the event will take place at The Torch, located inside the Coliseum’s Peristyle plaza entrance. Tickets for the event go on sale on April 20 on Ticketmaster. Streaming information will be announced in the future.

In 2022, GKUA will host annual April 20 events at the Torch to celebrate 4/20 both in-person and through streaming. The brand also plans to expand the events to other cities across the country.

Launched in 2019, GKUA Ultra Premium is a cannabis and lifestyle brand. The brands’ goal is to celebrate “culture and artistic achievement, by supporting artists and dreamers and throwing the ultimate Private VIP Parties, featuring once-in-a-lifetime performances.”
