Lil Woody, the star witness of the YSL RICO trial, is speaking out after a video of Young Thug’s children rapping went viral.
The clip circulating on the web shows Thugger’s youngsters are seen rapping “Gunna get whacked if he don’t leave L.A.”
During a recent sit-down with “The Danza Project” (@thedanzaproject), Woody admitted that the clip was amusing, but was a result of what they’d been exposed to.
“These kids, they in they environment and they see in the media. They going off everything and this they dad. They hurt,” he explained.
Woody also offered some advice regarding how Thug’s kids might actually support their platinum-selling father.
“It’s about right is right, wrong is wrong. The song made me laugh, I watched it so many times but it was just like, this not gon’ help ya’ll dad. Any negativity, it’s not gonna help him.” Woody explained, adding that the children should make videos expressing their love for Thug and how much they miss him in an effort to show the rapper in a positive light.
Thug is facing years behind bars for his alleged role in the YSL gang. Woody, an accused former member of the organization, provided statements to help the prosecution build their case against Thug and other affiliates. However, his testimony has been controversial, with Woody avoiding specific questions while on the stand. A secret meeting with the judge and prosecutors has recently stalled the trial until further notice as attorneys call for Judge Glanville to be recused. Now, with free time, Woody might spill more tea about YSL, though it’s unclear if he is putting the trial at risk.
