Lil Yachty is looking for the most talented female musicians to join his all-women band.
The QC star has been relatively quiet but does not intend to keep it that way in 2023. On Tuesday, the “Poland” rapper sent industry hopefuls scrambling to dust off their instruments and vocal cords when he announced he was holding live auditions this week.
“Yachty is putting a band together,” read the first slide in the Instagram announcement.

The third slide in the post detailed exactly what he was looking for to fulfill his dreams of an all-women band. The 25-year-old artist and businessman said he needed two or three background singers, a guitar player, a bass player, a drummer, and a keyboard player. He and his team will be providing keyboards and drums but encouraged musicians to bring their own guitars and bass.
Yachty didn’t specify what genre of music the group would be performing. But, Yachty has been a diverse artist since he burst onto the scene in 2015 with his viral record, “One Night.”
The auditions will take place on January 12th between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. MDP Production will host the event at 2626 Lithonia Industrial Boulevard, Lithonia, Georgia 30058.
While Yachty didn’t reveal what the band is for or how it will be used, he is scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud California this March. Therefore, one can only assume the ladies will get to hit the stage with him during the star-studded festival.
