Lil Yachty believes other rappers inserted themselves into the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef.
The QC rapper shared with the “A Safe Space” podcast that both rappers are “at the top of their game” but needed to find ways to poke at one another. According to him, neither rapper had any real dirt on the other, yet they resorted to “pedophilia” and accusations of being a “woman abuser.”
“Extreme accusations…there’s no proof to either one,” he stated before turning his attention to the many other artists who came at Aubrey.
If you recall, Rick Ross also dropped a diss track to Drake titled “Champagne Moments” in the middle of the beef. Several others sided with Lamar, though Yachty believes this move was slightly cowardly.
“I think Drake’s dealt with that type of sh** since the beginning of time. He’s always not truly been liked. It’s unfortunate. I really did wish it was only Drake and Kendrick. It kind of seemed like when Kendrick came out and was like, ‘I hate this n***a,’ everyone finally was like, ‘I hate him too,’ which was kind of p***y,” he shared.
Yachty believes the beef has officially ended, with Lamar’s hit song “Not Like Us” emerging as the most “pivotal moment” in the beef. Still, he told Drizzy that he doesn’t believe he “won or lost.” Instead, Yachty has a strong feeling that the Toronto star will continue to drop bangers and keep dominating the charts.
