More information is being released surrounding Lisa Marie Presley’s death, and sources are claiming the daughter of Elvis died after her heart stopped for a second time, and the family had requested that she not be resuscitated.
Sources told TMZ that Presley was pronounced brain dead after being admitted to the hospital on Thursday. She was placed in a medically-induced induced coma and put on life support.
Because she was in such a critical condition, the family chose to sign a do not resuscitate order in case she went into cardiac arrest again. Presley’s heart stopped again, and she was pronounced dead.
Presley was discovered unresponsive in her bedroom Thursday morning by her housekeeper. Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, performed CPR until EMTs arrived, and they took over.
After EMTs administered a dose of epinephrine, they were able to able to get a pulse. Sadly, she coded again at the hospital.
Sources told Page Six that the singer would be buried near her father and her son, Benjamin, at Graceland.
She is survived by her mother, Priscilla, and her three daughters: Riley, 33, and 14-year-old twins Finley and Harper.
At the time of her death, Presley was the sole heir of Graceland, which will now be passed to her children. The Tennessee estate is estimated to be worth $400 to $500 million.
