Singer Lisa Marie Presley is reportedly on life support after suffering a medical emergency.
The famed only child of superstar Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley is fighting for her life after suffering cardiac arrest at her Agoura Hills, California home Thursday morning. At around 10:00 a.m., Lisa Marie was found by her housekeeper unresponsive in her bedroom. Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, with whom she shares the home, returned moments later and began performing CPR on the 54-year-old until emergency personnel responded to the residence.
She was administered an epinephrine shot, which is typically used for emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions to medicines, foods, bites, or other substances. Her pulse was restored, and paramedics rushed Lisa Marie to a local hospital at around 11:17 a.m. Sadly, her condition has taken a turn for the worse.
According to TMZ, Lisa Marie is now on life support as she remains in critical condition. One source told the media outlet that the Elvis heir complained of stomach pains that morning. However, no further details have been released regarding her condition. Priscilla took to Instagram to ask fans for well-wishes.
“Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We feel the prayers from around the world and ask for privacy during this time,” the concerned mother wrote.
Lisa Marie was present during Tuesday’s Golden Globe Awards, where Austin Butler won the Best Drama Actor award for his performance as her father in last year’s biopic. She appeared in good spirits at the time.
Let’s continue to keep the Presley family in our thoughts.
