COVID cases are rising daily in Florida, but that is not stopping partygoers from being outside.
LIV Nightclub in Miami, Florida, will be serving shots in and outside of the club over the weekend. Mobile COVID-19 vaccination units will be set up at the Fontainebleau on Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 a.m. to 3 a.m.
David Grutman, the club owner, states that they want to stay open, and the only way to do so is to ensure that everyone is vaccinated. “We want to stay open and we know the only way for that to happen is that people get vaccinated.”
The club will be offering Pfizer vaccines, and CDR Health will plan to follow up with people for second doses three weeks later.
Club Story will be providing vaccines next weekend.
The Florida Department of Health released new data showing 134,506 new cases of COVID-19 within the state over the past week and 175 deaths. The number of new cases surpassed last week’s high of 110,420 cases.
