Lizzo isn’t here for the speculation and definitely not the numbers. On a recent episode of the “Just Trish” podcast, the Grammy-winning artist opened up about trying Ozempic but made it clear it was just a short stop on her path to better health.

“I’ve tried everything,” Lizzo told host Trish Paytas. “Ozempic works because you eat less food. It makes you feel full. So if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it’s the same sh*t.”
She said her recent lifestyle changes have more to do with eating habits than any miracle medication. One major shift? She’s no longer vegan. “I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice, and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full,” she shared. “But really I was consuming like 3,000 to 5,000 calories a day.”
Lizzo also addressed the viral TikTok clips floating around claiming massive weight loss. “I’ve just seen a lot of TikToks where it’s like, ‘Lizzo talks about her 500-pound weight loss,’” she said. “I was like, ‘Yo, why are y’all putting numbers on me?’”
Despite the buzz, Lizzo’s journey isn’t about quick fixes or public approval—it’s about what works for her. And as always, she’s doing it her way.
