LL Cool J was honored in his hometown with a statue for his success in the music industry and influence younger rappers.
On Tuesday, LL Cool J shared a post of the sculpture created by Sherwin Banfield. The creation includes a replica of the boom box featured on LL’s 1985 debut album cover. The boombox had a cassette version of the album ‘River.’
In an Instagram caption, LL wrote, “anything is possible. Statue of me in Corona Park, Queens by the talented @sherwintheartist.”
