Local authorities are praising Rick Ross for how smooth the car show at his Fayette County estate went on Saturday.
Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb estimates that the car show drew about 6,000, with no significant issues.Â
“Everything has run very well considering the amount of people and the small traffic ways we have here, and it’s because he hired a good team,” Babb told WSBTV.
The sheriff said last year’s event was much less organized, and some neighbors were left frustrated over traffic and people parking on the side of roadways. This year, attendees were shuttled from nearby shopping centers on buses with police escorts.
Officers were on hand to help direct the flow of traffic, allowing residents to move more freely. Babb said that medics had no issues getting in or out of the event. Three people required medical treatment, but no major injuries were reported.
“See, this is actually monumental because it actually puts a plan in place for years to come,” Major Marcus Dennard with the South Fulton Police Department told the outlet.
Aside from all the classic and exotic cars on display, the event featured performances by Ross, Meek Mill, and Gucci Mane. An Instagram page dedicated to the event posted clips from the performances.
