While her team mates were asking the media to give them some attention, Lolo Jones was doing an interview of her own. She had an emotional sit down with TODAY where she discussed the backlash of the media focusing on her looks and not feeling appreciated for the accolades she’s won.

Looking at this makes me see where the other two girls were coming from. Lolo came in 4th place and no offense but, there is no reason to interview the 4th place runner. It’s definitely clear Lolo was a favorite. It’s sad because she didn’t choose how she looks but the girl has also got to develop some thicker skin. When you make yourself so publicly available you take the good with the bad. When it was TEAM LOLO and she was on Twitter everyday, things were good. Now that she didn’t place and everyone is wondering what the hype was about, it’s not worth the tears. She should be thrilled she made it this far and work harder for 2016. So Lolo, toughen up! We wanted you to win, you didn’t. Such is life.
