Los Angeles and Paris have been facing off all year to determine who would host the 2024 Summer Games. However, with both cities being prime locations, the International Olympic Committee couldn’t come to a decision — so they chose both cities as hosts.
Paris will host the Summer Olympics in 2024, followed by Los Angeles in 2028. This will serve as L.A.’s third time hosting the Olympic Games.
The Summer Olympics have not been held in the United States since Atlanta hosted in 1996. The IOC is expected to make their official announcement later today.
