A Louisiana mother has been arrested after she allegedly attacked one student at a middle school.
Before having her daughter fight another student, Lacey Louis fought a separate student at Westlake Middle School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Monday morning, WAFB reported. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was notified about a “major disturbance” on the school’s campus after the assistant principal told the school’s deputy officer that Louis on the premises and appeared to be upset, The Advocate reported.
That all occurred after Louis came to the school to talk to officials about threatening phone calls her daughter had been receiving from another student at school. The mother was initially told to wait in the assistant principal’s office, but Louis left the room and was seen attacking a student, the report said. Multiple students who witnessed the incident said they heard Louis tell her daughter at one point to “do your sh*t.” She also reportedly told her daughter, “Let’s go. You did what you came to do.”
Louis claimed that she never got to the school’s front office because she saw her daughter in a fight and attempted to break it up. Newsweek reports that school faculty was unaware of Louis being on the campus.
Louis was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Monday and charged with simple battery, inciting to riot and disturbing the peace, online arrest records show. She was released on bond later that day and will appear at the 19th Judicial District Court in Baton Rouge on a later date.
