Officials in each state are taking extreme measures in making sure residents stay home to prevent further spread of the coronavirus.
In Louisville, Kentucky, a resident identified as D.L., is being ordered by a judge to stay home and self-quarantine after living with “someone who has tested positive for the illness and another person who is a presumptive case.”
However, according to CNN, D.L. ignored the court order, and according to family members, even “leaves the house often.”
Now, since D.L. has ignored the health department’s messages, Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Angela Bisig is ordering the individual to wear a “global positioning device” for two weeks, according to WDRB.
Should D.L. leave their house again before their two weeks are up, they will be charged.
The outlet also reveals that the two individuals that live with D.L., one of which has tested positive, are required to wear these monitors as well after initially failing to stay at home.
Another resident was put on house arrest as well after going to the store following a positive diagnosis.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
WRDB revealed that Jefferson County has gone as far as setting up an on-call judge for cases such as these.
