Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta, “Round and Round We Go” Recap

As the episode kicked off, Kalenna continued to put her big-booty best friend and turning up before her husband. I don’t know about y’all, but their relationship has me really confused. Who is Kalenna in a relationship with? Ashley or Tony?? I mean, Ashley is sitting here taking Kalenna’s phone so her husband can’t “bother” her, being all possessive and trying to be her “one and only”. Kalenna tried to get mad at Ashley for distracting her, but come on now. Kalenna is a grown woman. If she really cared about her responsibilities and her career, she could easily get up and walk away instead of having her husband doing all the work on his own on what’s supposed to be a team project. I mean, who is her loyalty to? I seriously will never understand Ashley and Kalenna’s friendship. But Kalenna finally came to the conclusion that she needed to tell Ashley to go back home so that she and Tony could get back to business.

Meanwhile, Tammy launched her clothing line, T. Rivera, by throwing a little get together with her closest friends and family. And of course, she had Waka right by her side. I just love the light that we get to see Waka in on the show. It’s a side of him that none of us really get to see, especially not through his music. He’s one of the few people on the cast that this show has been a really good look for. However, they did kinda mess up when they decided to elope. Their mothers were not happy about it at all. Waka’s mom was literally at a loss for words. But I could definitely understand where she was coming from. After everything that happened and losing her son, that would’ve been really good for her to be able to be a part of that. You know, something positive.

Scrappy went to meet with Erica P. to define the lines of their relationship, since he’s trying to mend things with Bambi. When Erica started spilling information about texts that Scrappy had sent to her, I really didn’t know which of them to believe. Especially when Scrappy started getting super defensive. Is she trying to stay relevant or is Scrappy really just a pathological liar? Things started to get even uglier when Erica brought up the situation that happened at Scrappy’s party with Bambi and the miscarriage comment. Truthfully, I just think that Erica didn’t want to admit that she was just trying to be messy. Then all hell broke loose. Erica tossed her drink on Scrappy and next thing I knew, the screen blacked out. When the scene turned back on, I noticed that Erica’s hair was looking a little messed up, as if Scrappy had hit her and he was being escorted out of the bar. Now we all know Scrappy is a very big guy, so I was expecting to see a busted lip or some blood if he had hit Erica. But I honestly can’t tell you what happened during that three-second blackout. I’ll let y’all decide that for yourselves. Something really major must’ve happened because Mama Dee even went to see Erica to see how she was doing. I guess I missed the part when the two of them got so close. It’s funny how she’s finally on someone else’s side instead of Scrappy’s. She was never that way with Erica, the mother of Scrappy’s child.

Stevie still tried to plead his case, claiming that he never slept with Althea. Joseline continued to stand her ground and show that she doesn’t believe Stevie’s BS by keeping the “cootie cat” from him. It’s stuff like this that makes me continue to like Joseline. And that face she made when Stevie tried to act dumb-founded?! Lawwd, it’s one y’all definitely have to see if you missed it. Stevie is a world-class liar, I’ll definitely give him that. His lies must have really been too much for Joseline because she claimed she was leaving for a little while. But we’ll see how that plays out.

Benzino told Althea that he wants whatever happened in the past between Althea and Stevie to stay in the past. By doing so, he wants Joseline, Stevie, he and Althea to be able to go out and do things together. Althea wasn’t too fond of the idea, because she didn’t want the awkward tension from what her and Stevie did. But I really just believe that she doesn’t want Joseline to come for her. Beside the point, Benzino believes that he has really found his soul mate in Althea, and while on the Ferris wheel, he asked Althea to marry him. Of course, she said yes and this was the first time I feel like I’ve ever really seen something real coming from her.

I don’t know about y’all, but I’m very excited to see everyone’s reactions to the Mimi and Nikko’s sex tape on next week’s episode. And oh yeah, it looks like K. Michelle is back. Let the drama begin.
