50 Cent still has the power. The rapper/actor has been awarded $30,000 from LHH star Teairra Mari after a judge ordered the reality star to pay 50’s legal fees in her Revenge Porn lawsuit against him.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a Los Angeles judge dismissed all claims against the rapper. 50 Cent originally argued for Mari to pay his entire legal bill of a whopping $161,660.15, but the judge decided not to grant him the full amount. Instead, Mari has been ordered to pay a total of $30,618.
The reality star originally sued both 50 and her ex-boyfriend, Akbar Abdul-Ahad, accusing them of conspiring to release the footage in a plan to sexually objectify, humiliate and degrade her as well as threaten and intimidate her.
In her lawsuit, she claimed Abdul-Ahad gained access to her Instagram account and posted the sexually explicit video, which featured a very graphic scene of Abdul-Ahad, ejaculating on her face. After Mari was able to regain control of her social media page to remove the content, 50 cent posted the material on his own page. He captioned the photo “get the strap,” which Mari claimed was a possible reference to his fanbase, encouraging them to harm her.
50 countered her allegations and denied intending any harm, and demanded the reality star’s lawsuit be thrown out. He claimed by the time he posted the video, it had already appeared countless times all over the internet.
