A few months back we posted about the possibility of the Love & Hip Hop franchise heading to Los Angeles. A few hopefuls for the cast included Ray J, Karrueche Tran, Lola Monroe and a slew of others. It looks like Love & Hip Hop LA is happening, but there have been a few adjustments to the cast.
Ray J, who Mona hoped to snag for the show, was tied into a contract with Oxygen for their Bad Girls All Star Battle so he will not appear on Love & Hip Hop. Karrueche Tran will also be passing up on Mona’s offer. No word on Lola Monroe just yet.
So far the cast includes cast is singer Brooke Valentine, radio DJ Yesi Ortiz, rapper Hazel-E, and video vixen Bria Myles. Producers are scrambling to find a star for the show, but have decided to move forward and will find one later.
Hazel-E is a rapper who has made it pretty known about the Ballers she’s had relationships with. She’s mentioned sleeping with James Harden, Trey Songz and even had past dealings with Pleasure P. Hazel-E doesn’t bite her tongue so I’m curious to see what she does on the show. Could she be the K. Michelle of the LA cast?
Brooke Valentine is best known for her 2004 single, “Girlfight”. She changed her name to B. Valentine in 2010 and attempted a return to music with the album “Forever.” She dropped a few singles from the album but it was eventually shelved. I can probably see her being the Olivia of the LA cast.
Bria Myles is a video model, known for her chocolate skin and big behind. She dated Drake several years ago. Drake dedicated his song “Bria’s Interlude” to her. Bria also dated Pleasure P briefly. Maybe that’s how her story will tie in with Hazel-E. Bria has been quiet, model wise, for a while now. She’s currently dating Sean Newell Martini. No one seems to know what Sean does, but he’s cute and Bria’s cute. They’ll be good eye candy for the show.
Yesi Ortiz is a radio personality/DJ on LA’s Power 106. I don’t know much about her. This may just be a great way for Mona to get free promotion of the show like she did with Gossip Game. If you’re from LA and have the tea on her, feel free to share.
Now Mona tellsYBF that the news of the LA show is inaccurate.
“I am looking at LA, but as usual, they’ve got it all wrong. No final decisions on cast. And most definitely haven’t started shooting a thing. Thanks!”
I say Mona is a load of BS because according to this email invitation we received…
So, with that said — What do you think of the cast so far?
