“Love & Hip Hop: Miami” star Prince addresses his past altercation with Tory Lanez.
The reality TV personality recently appeared on the “We In Miami” podcast. In a video clip that was posted online, he discussed the physical altercation involving Tory Lanez. According to Prince, the animosity between the two stars stemmed from a song.
“It was actually about a record,” Prince said. “I made a song back in March…Nine months later, Tory dropped a record with the same exact beat.”
Prince continues explaining that his main problem with the situation was his dj friends wasn’t playing his song but would play Troy’s. He mentioned that his frustration led him to rant on social media, which reportedly got Tory’s team’s attention.
“I ended up getting reached out to by Uno. Who art the time was, I don’t know if it was his manager or A and R,” the reality star added. “We had a 45 minute conversation and it was heated. But then towards the end of the conversation, I understood his side and he understood my side.”
Additionally, Prince says Uno asked him to remove his social media post because it suggested that Tory stole the song. The 34-year-old obliged with the request, however, little to his knowledge, the issue was not resolved.
“That same night, I got to Liv and that’s when I end up getting jumped,” Prince explained. “They called me over to his table…I walk over and extend my hand. I’m like ‘hey what’s up Tory,’ and he just went ‘what the f*ck was you thinking n*gga,’ and then just swung on me.”
Shortly after the incident, Prince says he made amends with Tory but had a change of heart after feeling embarrassed from the injuries he suffered.
“This n*gga is on private jets, touring, getting money and I’m stuck in the house, embarrassed,” he added. “That’s when we went to the Cochran Firm and then we sued.”
Nonetheless, the entire situation was ultimately resolved after the two engaged in a conversation, and Tory fulfilled the cash payment he promised the reality star.
