Luigi Mangione’s latest prison letter is making waves after he revealed how another inmate completely changed his music lineup. According to the letter, Mangione decided to try out Taylor Swift and Charli XCX after a fake list of his “favorite songs” started circulating online. Curious to see what the buzz was about, he loaded his tablet with pop hits and gave them a shot.
But that experiment didn’t last long. While doing laps around the unit listening to Taylor Swift’s “Cardigan,” another inmate, known only as “King,” overheard and wasn’t having it. King reportedly scolded Mangione for his playlist choices before taking over his tablet and swapping every track for Lil Durk songs.
Now, Mangione says his entire playlist belongs to Lil Durk, and honestly, he’s not mad about it. What started as a joke turned into a full-blown appreciation for Chicago’s own drill superstar.
The letter has since gone viral, with fans joking about how “Cardigan” didn’t stand a chance once King stepped in.
