Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi appear to have revived their feud, as Lupe is now openly sharing his complete history with the “Day ‘N Night” rapper.
In a string of tweets posted on Friday, Lupe addressed Cudi directly, specifically referencing Cudi’s recent comments about his career before fame.
“Kid Cudi is a b*tch,” he tweeted. “And continues to be a b*tch. Ain’t nobody finna bring up he used to work at the Bape Store to diss his b*tch a** for having a regular job before he was a famous b*tch with a cool job.”
In response to a fan expressing the need to hear the complete story of their fallout, Lupe delved into intricate details about the history of their feud. Despite having a friendly relationship for years and considering Cudi a friend, Lupe revealed feeling blindsided in 2014 when Cudi criticized him for charging fans $500 for a personalized verse. Lupe shared that he attempted to address the issue directly with Cudi but found no resolution.
“Till this day this b*tch won’t get on the phone and even when we at the same festivals they won’t allow me to go to his stage. He ducks calls, face to faces,” Lupe added. “All I wanted was an explanation at the least a my bad. Cuz I’ve never done anything to him except support. Now it’s f*ck him 4 life and keep my name out your mouth b*tch…”
Additionally, when a fan directly addressed Lupe, asserting that Cudi’s earlier prediction from his retail clothing days had come true, Lupe quickly disagreed.
“A beef he started with a n*gga who actually looked out for him? Make that make sense. Cudi a b*tch,” Lupe added.
The recent clash between Lupe and Cudi stemmed from a new interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. In the interview, Cudi recounted a close encounter with Lupe in 2008 at the BAPE store in New York City, where he was employed before his music career soared. Cudi shared that he purposefully kept a low profile when famous rappers visited the store, fearing that they might use his retail job against him in a future feud—and according to Cudi, that’s exactly what happened with Lupe.
