Luxury brands in Los Angeles are boarding their storefronts to avoid potential break-ins.
It’s strange times as we enter the third week of a nationwide quarantine in the U.S. Guns sales have risen, gatherings are limited to 10 bodies, and luxury brand companies are preparing for potential burglars.
shops along Rodeo Drive in LA are clearing their shelves and boarding their stores to protect their precious, high-end items. Photos obtained by TMZ show stores like Pottery Barn with several slabs of wood covering the doors and windows. According to the outlet, the companies are just being proactive against potential break-ins, as well as anticipating a prolonged closure.
West Elm followed suit and boarded its entire store. Boutiques and small luxury shops have also taken heed and closed down their stores.
In the meantime, Donald Trump has extended the quarantine until April. Until then, Chanel, Balenciaga, Dior, Valentino, and more have removed their items off the shelves and shut down – boarded entries and all.
