Every industry imaginable has been affected by the economic effects of the global pandemic caused by COVID-19. While many small businesses have been severely impacted and are least likely to recover; luxury hotels, resorts, and attractions reliant upon tourism have also seen a major decline in business. As citizens around the world are accepting that living with Coronavirus is the new normal, businesses are finding innovative ways to attract their target markets.
Enticing travelers during a pandemic has been an unforeseen challenge for the hotel industry. However, many luxury hotels have established a unique workaround that is sure to attract their main clientele; bundling private charter flights into their travel packages. The offer is in response to the safety concerns passengers have with flying packed commercial aircraft amid the virus. According to reports, Air Charter Service CEO Justin Bowman states, “With the new realities of traveling, consumers are more concerned with privacy, safety, and hygiene, and flexibility [is] at the top of their list.” While flying private isn’t within everyone’s budget, for those who can take a look at the current list of offerings from the following elite destinations:
